I'm an online business and planning strategist based in Birmingham, England.
When I started my business back in September 2018, life looked very different. I’d built a career as a criminal lawyer because I genuinely wanted to help people who’d been wrongly accused.
But the reality of practising law wasn’t what I imagined. Most of my clients were repeat offenders, the workload was neverending, and the environment was so target-driven that the amount you billed seemed to matter more than the quality of your work. I didn’t find enjoyment when I moved to another area of law, Personal Injury so I moved into management.
I loved problem-solving and helping my team grow, but something was missing. I wanted to make a real impact, not just meet targets.
That desire to help people led me to mentor students and eventually discover coaching because I thought this would make me a better manager.
After qualifying with The Coaching Academy, I realised I didn’t just want coaching to be part of my job, I wanted it to be my job.
My turning point
So I launched my business… and whew child. The business side of things was no joke.
I knew how to coach, but I didn’t know how to market, attract clients, create offers, or manage all the behind-the-scenes tasks that make a business work.
I was overwhelmed, posting endlessly on social media with zero results. I had half-finished projects everywhere, and no real understanding of who my audience was or what they needed.
So I invested in myself. I took every course, attended every webinar, and earned further qualifications in NLP, Hypnotherapy, and Timeline Coaching. Each step helped me better understand what it takes to build a business that actually works — not just one that looks good online.
